Background Screening

Article 502.4.3 "All coaches of USA Swimming clubs, including seasonal clubs, shall join USA Swimming as coach members and shall satisfactorily complete safety training and background screening required by USA Swimming."

Every two years, all coach members are required to complete a background screen. These screenings are conducted by an independent firm contracted by USA Swimming to complete the confidential background screenings. The results of the screening are kept confidential and generally USA Swimming is only notified that the coach has successfully passed his or her screening.
