USA Swimming Outstanding Service Award
Volunteer of the Year
The Outstanding Service Award was established in 1981 to recognize the invaluable contribution to the volunteer service to USA Swimming. The award, sponsored by ConocoPhillips, is presented annually to an honoree named by each of the 60 Local Swimming Committees (LSC). Selection criteria considers quality, level and years of volunteer service in elected or appointed positions from among the categories of administrator, official, and coach.
USA Swimming and ConocoPhillips take great pride in honoring the role of the volunteer as an important investment in the future of all swimming athletes and the growth of the programs they represent.
Volunteers have been the heart and strength of American swimming, and their special gifts of time, talent and devotion to local swimming programs make USA Swimming what it is today.

Fran Porter Lifetime Service Award
Annually, Central California Swimming recognizes a volunteer for their contribution of time and energy to the sport of swimming. Occasionally, a volunteer comes to Central California Swimming whose passion for swimming is unparalleled, and whose dedication and unfettered giving to the athletes of the sport demand special recognition.
For this reason, Central California Swimming established the Fran Porter Lifetime Service Award in 1993. Named in honor of its first recipient, this award recognizes special individuals who epitomize the true spirit of volunteerism.
Life Time Service Award Recipients

A man who has volunteered his time, energy, experience, and enthusiasm for the benefit of swimmers for the last forty plus years. It is with great pride that CCS awards its Lifetime Service Award to
